About NG12

NG12 is a San Diego-based boutique communications firm, born out of more than 25 years of global technology marketing experience. It’s led by Tim Wheatcroft, who has deep experience leading global PR agency teams and running corporate communications at two high-growth technology companies. 

Prior to NG12, Tim was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Emburse, a global leader in SaaS expense automation software. During his nine years at Emburse, he worked directly with c-suite executives through several M&A initiatives, established the organization as a share-of-voice leader across business and trade media, drove a number of messaging and branding initiatives, and positioned the company as a leader among industry analysts. Prior to Emburse, he established and led the communications function at Kyriba, as it became the global leader in SaaS treasury management software.

He previously spent more than a dozen years in leadership roles at two mid-sized global PR agencies. First at LEWIS PR (now TEAM LEWIS) where he rose from account executive to Vice President, and following that at Allison + Partners (now Allison Worldwide) where he was General Manager of the agency’s San Diego office.

Why the name NG12? Put simply, it’s where our story began. NG12 is the postal district where Tim grew up, just outside Nottingham, England. Nottingham is known worldwide for Robin Hood, Sherwood Forest, and the Major Oak tree, where Robin and his merry men were believed to have taken shelter from the Sheriff of Nottingham.

As for the logo—like all oak trees, the Major Oak began life as a tiny acorn, and it has grown and thrived over many hundreds of years. Similarly, our goal is to help your grow your brand to help reach its full potential.
